At Cove Dentistry, we’re proud to say that our patients get the best of both worlds. We are a dentist on Simcoe Street that provides a wide range of services in general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry.
We also treat our patients like people, not numbers. We’re located inside a beautiful century home in downtown Oshawa, and our practice evokes a feeling of calm and comfort.
It’s this marriage of modern innovation and casual kindness that has kept Cove Dentistry’s patients happy for more than 40 years.
Dr. Tony Cove was born in the northeast of England, and grew up right here in Oshawa, Ontario. After earning his B.Sc. (Hons) at the University of Western Ontario, he worked in gold exploration as a geologist for Placer Dome. He ultimately returned to England to attend University of Newcastle’s School of Dental Sciences -- the alma mater of his father, Dr. Michael Cove. He completed a one-year internship at Newcastle and practiced on the Isle of Man for two years before returning to Canada and joining his father’s practice (Cove Dentistry) in 1998. He enjoys skiing, sailing, waterskiing, classic car restoration and racing.
We’re proud to have an implant treatment coordinator on staff at Cove Dentistry. Stephanie helps our patients by walking them through the entire treatment process, from start to finish. She describes the treatment and answers any questions along the way.
Many of the people on our hygiene staff have been with Cove Dentistry for more than 10 years. We’ve even employed dental assistants who have gone back to school, become certified as dental hygienists, and then returned to work with us in a new capacity. Our hygiene staff is dedicated to helping our patients understand the importance of preventative dentistry. They’re always happy to explain how regular checkups and daily home care play a huge role in your overall health.
The friendly group of people who work in Cove Dentistry’s front office is a key component of our success. When our patients walk through the door, we know they’re going to be greeted cheerfully and welcomed into the practice -- setting the groundwork for a relaxed, stress-free appointment.
